Round Robin Tournament Guidelines

We want to ensure that everyone who participates in our round robin tournaments has an enjoyable experience, so we have set the following guidelines.

FORMAT

·        Round robin groups of up to 7 players per group.

·        Top 2 players in each group advance to compete in a single elimination playoff.

·        Matches are best 3 out of 5, with each game played to 11 points.

·        First place winner gets a $15 RoboFit Gift Certificate.

·        Second place winner gets a $10 RoboFit Gift Certificate.

START TIME

·        The Tuesday and Thursday round robin tournament begins promptly at 7:00pm and ends at or around 10:30pm.

·        The Saturday round robin tournament begins promptly at 1:00pm and ends at or around 4:00pm.

·        Please register and pay before playing.

·        Players should arrive 15 minutes before the start time in order to register for the event and to get warmed up.

·        If you would like to play but cannot arrive by the start time, please call RoboFit (310-534-9600) 15 minutes before the start time to reserve a place in the draw. Players who call or arrive after this time will be entered on a space-available basis, but may be subject to random and unfavorable placement in the draw.

AFTER THE START TIME

·        Players will no longer be added to the draw after the tournament has started.

·        Players who reserved in advance, but arrive after the start time will lose previously called matches by default.

THE MATCH

·        Matches are to be played according to the order on the sheet.

·        Pre-game warm-up time is limited to 2 minutes.

·        The winner of each match is responsible for recording the results on the round robin draw sheet and announcing the next match.

CONDUCT

·        Cursing, throwing rackets, kicking barriers/tables, cheating, and other forms of bad behavior will not be tolerated. At the sole discretion of RoboFit’s management and staff, offenders will be subject to a warning, default from the tournament and/or expulsion from the premises.
